Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Fartknight ("we", "the app") is operated by Neatnet. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

  • Account data: a user identifier from your sign-in provider and your chosen username. With Sign in with Apple, your email is hidden behind Apple's private relay unless you choose to share it. With Sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and name, used to prefill your profile display name and avatar — both editable.
  • Audio recordings: clips you record are analyzed on your device. A trimmed clip is uploaded only when you post it, and is visible only to members of the crews you post it to. Nothing is public.
  • Derived metrics: loudness, duration, and similar audio measurements, plus ratings from your crew.
  • Approximate location (optional): if you turn on the crew radar, we store a coarse location (rounded to roughly 110 m) alongside your post so your crew can see about where a rip happened. Untagged rips work fine — you can leave this off.
  • Device model identifier (e.g. "iPhone15,2") to keep loudness scoring fair across microphones.

What we don't do

  • No advertising, no tracking, no sale of data, no third-party analytics.
  • No public content: recordings are only ever visible to crews you join by invitation.
  • Recordings never leave your device unless you explicitly post them.

Storage & processing

Data is stored with Supabase (Postgres and object storage) and protected by row-level security so only your crew members can access your posts. Audio analysis happens on-device.

Deleting your data

In the app: Profile → Account & Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, recordings, ratings, and audio files. You can also email pp@neatnet.tech.

Your rights (GDPR/CCPA)

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data at any time via pp@neatnet.tech. We respond within 30 days.

Children

Fartknight is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We'll update this page and the date above if this policy changes.
